Well, I had a dream the other night. It was one of those dreams that make you think, the kind I like to base paintings off of. You know when you wake up and ask yourself "WHAT"? Like what did that mean. The main part of the dream that stuck with me was how I was golfing, but instead of using the right equipment, I was swinging a hammer at that golf ball like there was no tomorrow. What do you think it could mean? If you where to take the symbols and what has been happening lately in my life it does fit together, like my subconscious is trying to tell me something I kind of all ready know. But then of course I have to think about what area in my life it's realy pointing at. Saddly, I think it may be EVERY area, hahahack..choke.
So here it goes I am swinging and swinging.. Golf to me is such a wonderful fun sport, not only challenging but it realy is parrelel to life, like keep your eye on the target or direction you want to go, stay focused on the ball. Use good techniques, the right posture, attitude and have a great time while your doing it. You know what your goal is in the end. Well ok so I don't know that much about professional golf, but that combo seem to work for me when golfing. Now put me in a dream where I am not even using the correct tool ( a hammer vrs an actual club). I wonder has this happend to you in life? Like you are trying to enjoy your life and the process but just don't feel like you are getting anywhere. Like you know what you are supposed to be doing and you keep swinging and swinging. But nothing gives fast enough so you start to try new things, or in this case change out what you are using completely. It's like you know it can be done but your missing something or spreading yourself to thin. Your focusing whay to much on the hammer rather then any ball or target!!! SO many people take an extreem and leave their family's or keep on the path of distruction but don't realy change the tool. In this case the Tool can even be you. You can change everything you want even the game but if you don't change the tool, your still in the same spot. Well as far as I know, not knowing that much about sports, I realy don't think there is much room in football or baseball for a hammer. I think in most cases you have to change the tool (yourself and or methode) not the game. Of course if you in a game where no one plays by the rules well...
So it was a wake up call (get it)... How apropriate, that If I want to stay in the game I better figure this out stay focused (not on the hammer, but a better tool) and if nothing else find some golfing buddies who can give me some tips (church, parents, maybe go on a date, established artist, gallery's), like try a club ( a specific club) instead of a hammer. Of course this isn't realy about golfing it's about my personal life, about creating my paintings and about selling with a different method, also about making sure I am not dropping the ball with my kids and family, yes they have to be carefully put on their tee's, be apart of the game and we must make sure the golf cart is big enough for everyone. Or in some cases the Golf course.."FOUR"...
Anyway, find your self there? or ever found yourself there? This would make a very interesting painting indeed.

This was a profound post! I really like the idea of appropriate tools and how that relates to our lives. "... if you don't change the tool, your still in the same spot." That is so true ... sometimes we get stuck. When we find the right tool, however ... it all seems so easy.
I've missed your posts ... hope you'll be publishing more soon!
